Do you know that you are loved?

Hey everyone

Over the weekend Geoff, the kids, and I went back to Moncton for yet another funeral. This one was sad because the person that past away had been battling cancer for almost 20 years. Geoff did her husband's funeral almost 3 years ago and since that time she sunk into a deep depression. She just didn't know how to live without her husband.

This lady's oldest sister grabbed me at the visitation and said "She never took the time to realize how many people truely loved her. She missed out on enjoying their love." Boy, did that break my heart.

Do you know that you are loved? Do you take time to love back? This lady missed out on getting out and loving people. I was told that when her husband was alive she would go out and meet with people, party with them, play jokes on them, laugh, cry, and encourage. But after her husband's death, most of that stopped.

When painful things happen it's hard to move on. When someone you love passes away, taking that first step out of the house without them seems impossible. God knows. Remember, He's the one that lost His only Son so that we could go to Heaven and live with Him for all eternity. He loves us that much.

Take time to love people. Don't let pain get in the way of people loving you. Easier said than done isn't it. But God is with you. God understands, He's been there and He wants to help you through whatever pain you are in today.

Please don't be like this beautiful lady that passed away. Don't go into a corner and hide. Let people love you. God has put them there to help you get through the pain. He has given you the wonderful gift of loved ones. You are blessed.

Have a great week everyone
Deb

Hi Debbie,
That was a great way to describe this lady. How sad, when you feel life is not worth living. Please keep her daughter in your prayers, she has had a very trying week. Nancy talks to her every day and she dropped in visit her and she and another girl went to visit her son last night for a little while. I really enjoy your Blogs.
