What is it about weekends. We can't wait for them to come. We plan to do everything during those two days that we couldn't get done during the week because of work. And then we complain that the weekend was over too soon. Of course once you arrive at work there is always one person who asks you the dreaded question, "So how was your weekend?" I hate that question! You don't want to say "It was so busy and it went by too fast" because the person that asked the question was just being polite. Truthfully they really don't want a blow by blow on how your weekend really was.
However, there is one exception to this. I have a very good friend, Joel, he is orignally from Texas and he loves to talk. Every Monday morning he comes in to work and begins to tell me how his weekend was. It's the best part of my Monday. No matter how tired I am after my weekend, Joel wakes me up with his day to day adventures. I admire him, no matter what happens during his weekend, from brown water coming out of his bathroom sink, to his step-daughter's graduation, his is always upbeat and excited. After awhile his upbeat nature becomes contagious and you can't help but feel good.
Thanks Joel!
Have a great Monday everyone
Deb
